Recycling, improving public access to water, mitigating climate change, preserving the Amazonian biome, promoting inclusive markets and other key initiatives for Latin America and the world represent opportunities for us as they define specific objectives that have the potential for generating continental impact.

We identify these opportunities with our allies and together build shared agendas that enable us to work collaboratively. Once the opportunity has been identified, these elements will be decisive in generating change:

Avina works on an equal footing with its allies and accompanying causes, taking on wide-ranging commitments and directly sharing the risks, successes and setbacks involved.

At present, Avina is aiming its efforts at 10–15 opportunities throughout Latin America. In each case we support brokered activities at local, national and regional levels. We also invest in a sound incubation and innovation program, establishing networks in the countries where we work as breeding grounds for solutions to tomorrow’s challenges.

We are excited to direct our energy towards the field of action and to focus on the fascinating opportunities for change that we build with our allies.

In these critical times of global uncertainty and transformation, the world urgently needs those who can combine an understanding of the process of change, an ability to identify opportunities that will tip the scale towards sustainability, and the skill to broker alliances to achieve this.
