Fundación Avina to Participate in the G20 Social in Rio de Janeiro
From November 13 to 16, the Avina Foundation will be present at the events leading up to the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, including the Social G20. The event aims to increase the participation of non-governmental actors in the activities and decision-making processes of the G20, which will take place the following week. The theme of Brazil’s G20 presidency is “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.”
With over 200 self-managed activities – organized by civil society entities – the event will provide an important space for debate for Fundación Avina, which promotes collaborative impact through the pillars of Democratic Innovation, Fair and Regenerative Economy, and Climate Action. At the G20 Social, Fundación Avina will be alongside leading organizations discussing topics such as just climate transition, Latin American leadership, and the care economy, among others.
