Between May 12 and 14, we organized in Bogotá the Latin American Regenerative Investment Summit (LARIS), the Latin American Regenerative Investment Summit.
LARIS 2026 brought together impact investors, foundations, corporations, banks, investment funds, governments, and climate finance actors to promote nature-based investments in sectors such as agriculture, forestry systems, and ecotourism, among others.
At Fundación Avina, we mobilize resources to generate impact, and spaces such as LARIS are essential for building collaboration and trust toward this objective.
We began LARIS 2026 with a powerful conversation around the central idea that regeneration is not an aspirational concept, but rather a concrete practice that requires us to relearn how we relate to territories, capital, and life.
One of the strongest messages was understanding that Latin America is not only a biodiverse region, but also a territory with the capacity to lead new ways of thinking about development and collective prosperity.

The gathering was a space to deeply question the financial, productive, and cultural architectures through which we understand development.
Throughout the event, the Regenerative Ventures Showcase was held, in which 10 initiatives from different countries presented solutions related to bioeconomy, soil restoration, carbon capture, and new rural financing mechanisms before investors and ecosystem actors.
More than 300 people gathered in Bogotá for this second Summit, which has been consolidating itself as a strategic space to discuss the future of regenerative finance, territorial governance, and economies based on living systems in Latin America.
And, like everything we do at Avina, LARIS was organized collaboratively: we worked together with SVX Mexico, SVX Colombia, Regenera Ventures, International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Regenerative Food Businesses Consortium throughout this journey.
