In October, ministers, companies, international organizations, academia, and other stakeholders will gather in Santo Domingo for the XI Energy Week of Latin America and the Caribbean. The agenda reflects the scale of the decisions and challenges facing the region: energy security, financing, integration, new technologies, planning, capacity building, gender, and energy poverty, among other issues.  

When we talk about urban resilience in the context of climate change, it is essential to recognize that we are, above all, talking about systemic risk management. Cities concentrate people, assets, infrastructure, and markets, but they depend deeply on systems that lie beyond their direct control.
