Labor Innovation

What We Do

The vision of Fundación Avina’s Labor Innovation program is that all people have access to decent work, characterized by inclusive, equal, and non-discriminatory practices, as a way to ensure their wellbeing in the face of future social, economic, and environmental challenges.

We aim to make the global labor system more just, sustainable, and co-responsible for upholding human rights by working hand in hand with businesses, workers, and organizations that support participatory movements.

We work on four main issues:

Social and labor inclusion

Business and human rights

Just transition

Technology and the world of work

LINES OF ACTION

Strengthening collective action

Boost the human and labor rights movement (collectives, organized groups, grassroots organizations, civil society organizations).

Advocacy

Advocate for changes to legislative frameworks, public policies, decision-making spaces, hiring practices, and labor inclusion.

Creating connections

Promote multi-sector and/or multi-stakeholder dialogues to build shared agendas for systemic change.

Establishing narratives

Build, promote, and establish narratives and counternarratives via relevant channels.
