Launch of theVoltea al Campo” campaign

On October 7th, Fundación Avina launched the campaign “Turn to the Fields” campaign, together with allied organizations from the Periplo Project at an event for the Mexican press.

The campaign aims to raise awareness among consumers in Mexico about their role, promoting changes in labor practices in companies, in order to mitigate and prevent the main violations of labor and human rights in the country’s agricultural supply chains.

Periplo is an initiative that seeks a fairer labor migration system, protecting the human rights of migrant agricultural workers in Mexico.

Valeria Scorza, our Executive Director, emphasized the importance of collaborative processes to drive systemic changes, placing human dignity and sustainability at the center. This is what we strive for at Fundación Avina through the Periplo project. “Agricultural value chains connect us all: consumers, workers, companies, and governments. These chains have the potential to be drivers of transformation toward sustainable development that ensures human dignity and care for the planet. We all have the responsibility and power to act to create conditions of mutual benefit, driving a prosperous future for everyone. Let’s join the ‘Turn to the Fields’ campaign to be part of this transformation,” said Scorza.
