Avina will be present in New York during Climate Week and the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), with representation from different areas of the organization.

UNGA and Climate Week bring together philanthropic organizations, governments, civil society, multilateral actors and private-sector leaders at a time when global cooperation, development finance, climate action and democratic resilience are being redefined.

For Fundación Avina, these spaces are an opportunity to strengthen alliances, expand connections and contribute to conversations that cross borders and territories. From Latin America and the Global South, we seek to bring different perspectives together and strengthen a form of philanthropy capable of mobilizing resources, knowledge and partnerships to address shared challenges.

Throughout the week, we will engage with funders, philanthropic networks, civil society organizations, governments and other actors working across the agendas of democracy, civic space, just energy transition, work and care.

More than participating in an international agenda, we want to use this moment to build new connections, strengthen existing partnerships and bring experiences, lessons and perspectives from the territories where we work into global conversations.

Follow this post for updates, meetings and reflections throughout this critical week for global cooperation.
