Commitment to a new four-year phase of Latitud R 

In the first week of October, Fundación Avina was at the Inter-American Development Bank offices in Washington for the annual meeting of the Regional Advisory Council of LatitudR, a regional alliance in which Fundación Avina is a member, along with the Latin American Network of Waste Pickers, Coca-Cola Foundation, PepsiCo, Dow, Nestlé, IDB, and IDB Lab. 

This multisectoral alliance, launched 13 years ago, has strengthened more than 40,000 grassroots recyclers from over 500 organizations across 17 countries. Together, these "recycling heroes" have recovered more than 800,000 tons of recyclable material and generated systemic changes through regulatory improvements in 6 countries. 

Building on these achievements, the partners of this platform have decided to renew our commitment for a new four-year implementation phase, driving new high-impact investments directly to local actors.
