As one of the first organizations in its sector to adopt an internal policy on the use of artificial intelligence, Fundación Avina reaffirms its institutional commitment: technology must respect human rights, promote equity, and contribute to a sustainable future. 

“Our internal policy marks an important step to ensure that technology is always at the service of people and the planet, never the other way around,” says Julia França, from the Futures Directorate at Fundación Avina. 

In this way, the Foundation highlights that AI is a support tool and never a replacement for human decision-making. 

Consultancies, working groups, dialogue spaces, and training sessions are some of the strategies that Fundación Avina is promoting to strengthen internal capacities and explore innovative solutions that place technology at the service of people and the common good.
