From November 13 to 16, the Avina Foundation will be present at the events leading up to the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, including the Social G20.

The Avina Foundation participated in the 16th United Nations Conference on Biodiversity (COP16), held in Cali, Colombia, from October 21 to November 1.

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) takes place from November 11 to 22, bringing together global leaders, experts, organizations, and activists to intensify actions to combat the climate crisis. Held in Baku, Azerbaijan, this edition is a crucial step toward COP30, which will be hosted in Belém, Brazil, in 2025. 

In the first week of October, Fundación Avina was at the Inter-American Development Bank offices in Washington for the annual meeting of the Regional Advisory Council of LatitudR.

Between October 7 and 9, the Central American Donors Forum (CADF) took place, a key space organized by the Seattle International Foundation for dialogue between civil society, philanthropy, and the government and business sectors.

What do journalism and collaborative impact have in common? Everything. Information as a public asset is fundamental for democracies, and innovative journalism is key in this process.

On October 7th, Fundación Avina launched the campaign "Turn to the Fields" campaign, together with allied organizations from the Periplo Project at an event for the Mexican press. 

As a result of an intense collaboration between organizations, companies, and recyclers, the first infrastructure to generate plastic wood in Peru was inaugurated in southern Lima in July of this year.
